The Care Act 2014 was fully implemented in April 2015. It affects people who use social care services, or who may need to use them in the future. The act also covers people who fund their own care.
To find out more about the Care Act, see the NHS Choices website for detailed information about who it can help, and how support is granted.
Paying for social care
From April 10th 2017, compensation awarded to veterans in England will be exempt from financial assessments for social care support. This means that veterans will no longer have to surrender large amounts of their compensation payments to pay for social care.
