There are services in place to help veterans and their families benefit from further training and education to improve your chances of being successful in the job market.
The Career Transition Partnership (CTP) offers training and skills development to those who are about to leave Service or are within two years of their discharge date. Depending on the length of service, the CTP can provide comprehensive training services and workshops. Visit the CTP website to find out more about how they can help.
Who else can help?
Royal British Legion Industries (RBLI) delivers LifeWorks, a vocational assessment, employability and change management course for veterans. The course helps veterans find suitable and sustainable jobs, identify the training required to secure them, and access funding if needed. LifeWorks provides the tools to access options such as CV development, interview skills, and building confidence and motivation to move forward into work. Visit the LifeWorks website to learn more.
Walking With The Wounded (WWTW) is a national charity that provides access to funding for formal education or vocational training to support wounded, injured, sick or socially vulnerable veterans back into sustainable employment through its First Steps programme. Access to vocational assessment and funding for tools or equipment to facilitate employment may also be available subject to eligibility. Visit the WWTW website for more information.
