Centre for Veterans' Health
The Centre for Veterans Health at King Edward VII's Hospital helps veterans through specialist treatment tailored to their needs. The Centre offers means tested grants to help with up to 100% of the costs associated with procedures, a further 20% discount given automatically to military personnel, veterans, their spouses or widows, a five day pain management programme, and a specialist pain consultant to help with recovery.

Deptherapy seeks to rehabilitate UK armed service personnel and veterans who have suffered life-changing physical and or mental injuries and illnesses, through the medium of specially designed scuba programmes.
The Ely Centre was established after the Enniskillen Poppy Day Bombing on 08 Nov 17, to provide support to personnel injured in this incident and has widened its service to include support to veterans, police and civilians injured as a result of the troubles in NI. We offer, mental health support, health and wellbeing support, counselling, alternative therapies, respite trips financial advice and assistance with benefits and war disability pensions or AFCS claims.
The Defence Medical Welfare Service (DMWS)
The Defence Medical Welfare Service (DMWS) is an independent charity providing help and support to the Armed Forces community when they need help during times of physical or mental ill health, either in hospital, rehabilitation settings or at home. Our Welfare Officers provide practical and emotional support to ensure that no family goes through the worry of illness or injury alone. This can range from assistance with housing or finance issues to offering a listening ear. Our 24/7 service is a vital additional layer of welfare to those who put themselves in harm's way to protect the nation.

The Footprint Trust
Help with energy use in the home on the Isle of Wight. Gives impartial, confidential help to anyone on the Isle of Wight about using heating and energy in the home, to keep warm and well and to avoid debt. Can help with practical support such as tariffs, switching, how to set heating (including night storage heaters), and access to grants such as Warm Home Discount. Can negotiate with Southern Water and energy suppliers on your behalf, if required. Also offers training to ex-Service people on these matters. Help is available by phone or through home visits to people living on the Isle of Wight. Self-referrals accepted.
Forward Assist engages former servicemen and women in community engagement projects to utilise their valuable transferrable skills, creating life changing employment, volunteering, education and training opportunities.
Lord Kitchener Memorial Holiday Centre
For the last 100 years the Lord Kitchener Memorial Holiday Centre has provided holiday and respite accommodation in ten en suite bedrooms, on a bed and breakfast or half board basis, to ex-members of the armed forces and their partners including widows/widowers. We can help with short term shelter or refuge where veterans or their immediate family need a change of scene, a carer needs a break, with short-term homelessness, and when your own accommodation is unfit for habitation, for instance during repairs or redecoration.

Models for Heroes
Models for Heroes(M4H)provide model making supplies to over 50 serving Military, Veteran and Emergency Services treatment organisations around the UK and overseas territories - utilising over 100 national volunteers. We also take referrals, from recognised professionals, on behalf of those unable to attend modelling sessions (contact us for more details). Model making activities promote confidence, well-being, behavioural activation and social interaction.
The Armed Forces Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Support Group supports members of the Military family Affected by MS. They exist for Serving members of the Armed Forces, Veterans, Reserves, dependants and their carers affected by MS. Mutual Support is one of the MS Society’s National Support Groups. Run by volunteers with direct experience of MS and the Armed Forces, it provides services and activities based on what people affected by MS want. A trained team provide the support you need to deal with your situation, and aim to be at the end of the phone when needed.
National Gulf Veterans and Families Association
The NGVFA supports those affected by Gulf War 1, Gulf War 2 (Iraq), Afghanistan, and all future desert conflicts. Many returning home from these conflicts develop health or social problems. The NGVFA helps veterans (whether ill or not), Service personnel who were vaccinated but were non-deployed, Armed Forces personnel who are still serving , family members, widows and widowers, and civilians contracted to the armed forces. They work throughout the UK and abroad.
The Not Forgotten Association
The Not Forgotten Association provides recreational and entertainment opportunities to any serving man or woman who is wounded, injured or sick and any veteran of any age with a disability, illness or infirmity. Support is offered through a varied programme of tailored activities and events including Royal Parties, concerts, holidays, outings and the provision of televisions and TV Licences. Each of these activities is intended to restore confidence, enhance wellbeing, boost morale and improve the chances of the individual and their family to enjoy life.
Our motto is RACE, RETRAIN, RECOVER, which we deliver through sport, training and vocational activities available to our beneficiaries. Mission Motorsport's competition and experience programmes are for the WIS community and range from karting to car control, track days to full-blown racing. Any veteran can become involved in volunteering opportunities, such as the F1 Racemaker programme, and support to events; there is something for everybody. Training and industry insight are key steps on the transition pathway or when searching for a new career. So, whether you're in the process of being discharged or a veteran of any age, Mission Motorsport offers a range of training opportunities, up to and including a City & Guilds Level 3 Diploma to put you on track to becoming a fully qualified mechanic. Helping you progress, through work placements and employment opportunities into the expanding workforce of over 1 million in the automotive and motorsport industries.

On Course Foundation
The On Course Foundation supports the recovery of injured Service personnel and veterans through golf. They build confidence in wounded, injured and sick (WIS) Service personnel and veterans through golf skills and employment events, setting them on the path to meaningful full time employment opportunities in the golf industry. Golf offers a unique platform where players of all skills and backgrounds can compete healthily, improving not only their physical but mental strength too. Their golf activities aim to restore confidence, providing a sense of purpose to members who once struggled to see hope in their future. It’s their aim to help members realise their potential and set them on a fulfilling career path.
Outside the Wire
Outside the Wire is a bespoke alcohol, drug and PTSD service, offering confidential advice and support to current and ex HM Forces personnel and their families across Norfolk, Suffolk & Essex.
All our staff are ex-forces, and can offer innovative, comprehensive support, including confidential meetings at a location of your choice. We are sensitive to the complexities of military life and the often understandable resistance to admitting the extent of personal issues, especially those relating to PTSD, substance misuse and general mental health plus concerns around personal relationships.
Supporting veterans and direct family members, who face health, housing, financial and social problems by providing confidential practical support to get their voice heard. We are aware that some veterans struggle to access services and support needed to maintain civilian life. Experienced staff offer tailored one-to-one support which seeks to: improve access to and experiences of mainstream services; maximise income; have needs and views respected; ensure rights under the Armed Forces Covenant are understood; improve mental health through increased confidence.
Sporting Force supports ex-Service personnel who have been wounded, injured or become sick during service by offering a route into civilian employment within the professional sports industry. They also provide education, exercise and social events to veterans and their families to relieve mental health issues and feelings of social isolation.
Turn to Starboard
Turn to Starboard offer several strands of activity including Royal Yachting Association (RYA) sailing courses, family sailing trips, Tall Ship sailing and competitive racing. Our focus is on resettlement, reintegration and reinforcing a sense of value and belonging for participants, along with an opportunity to gain professional sailing qualifications to start new careers in the marine industry.
UDR & R IRISH (HS) Aftercare Service
Holistic welfare service provider for eligible veterans of the Ulster Defence Regiment (UDR) and the Royal Irish Regiment (Home Service) (R IRISH (HS)). We also provide help for those personnel being treated and prepared for discharge from the 38 Irish Brigade (38X) Personnel Recovery Unit (PRU).
Veterans Assist Scotland
Veterans Assist Scotland is an online information hub and signposting service for veterans and those supporting veterans. They can provide contact details for the various Armed Forces and Veterans Champions, employment information, housing options, as well as information on public and voluntary sector support across Scotland, based on specific needs.
Veterans Contact Point
Veterans Contact Point aims to help all serving members and veterans of the UK Armed Forces, their spouses, and dependents by working in partnership with others and other organisations to assist in the provision of schemes, grants, and services for their resettlement, rehabilitation, retraining, employment, and ongoing welfare. The service is available across the Coventry, Solihull and Warwickshire areas.
Veterans HQ is a free and accessible one stop centre of support for ex-Armed Forces personnel, reservists and their families. The centre is run by a team of friendly staff who can provide information, advice and support on many areas relevant to the Armed Forces community such as welfare and benefits, housing, health and wellbeing, and employability. Drop-in sessions are available to those who need help with job applications and there is also a Custody Co-ordinator on-site for those who are in, or about to leave the criminal justice system. Veterans HQ also offer a health and wellbeing programme that includes access to a fitness centre, social activities, counselling and group therapy.
Wirral Military Community Services
Wirral Military Community Services offer veteran outreach; one-stop Shop & Drop-In; employment support; enterprise start-up; signposting to Local Agencies; welfare benefits advice; MoD welfare pension advice drop-in; housing advice and support; healthy living advice and support; diet and PT advice; access to holistic therapies; and engaging with a diverse range of community-based projects.
