New research study with Help for Heroes promotes mental wellbeing for veterans and their families

Help for Heroes and the King's Centre for Military Health Research are inviting Service personnel and their families to take part in a research study. This study will test two different ways of helping families and friends encourage their currently Serving or ex-Service loved one to seek help with mental health. In both interventions, families and friends will learn about how they can help themselves and loved ones.

The research aims to understand how people respond to the interventions, and whether it affects the wellbeing and relationship between Service personnel and their loved ones. The research also aims to test how a family's encouragement to seek mental health support affects their loved one's help-seeking behaviour.

If you are worried about the mental health of your loved one, the study is a valuable opportunity to get professional support and guidance.

To participate in the study, or for further information, contact the Hidden Wounds team at Help for Heroes.
