Using The Veterans’ Gateway Local Support Tool – User Guide

The Directory of Services is a UK wide map of over 15,000 service markers, which provide health and social care to veterans and service families.

The Directory can be used to signpost veterans and their families to appropriate services for enhancing health, wellbeing and independence.

Using The Directory of Services – Three Steps to Support

Within the directory, services are organised into a nine overarching categories. The first step in using the directory is to select a sub-category of services which best represent the veteran’s/service family’s needs.

The directory will display all of the services which match that category across the UK. The second step in using the directory is to select a service from the markers which appear within your local area.

When you select a marker, the directory will display information about the kind of service the organisation offer and how to access the service. When an appropriate service has been identified, the third and final step in using the directory is to signpost the veteran/service family to the service, using the information provided.
